Job Description

New World Prep is looking for a STEAM teacher who can integrate the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math into hands-on, project-based lessons to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity for our elementary school Scholars.

Job responsibilities:

• Develop Interdisciplinary Lessons:. Create engaging, hands-on activities that combine different subjects, encouraging students to think beyond traditional classroom boundaries.
• Foster Key Skills:. Focus on nurturing critical thinking, creative problem-solving and collaborative skills, which are essential for success in the modern world.
• Embrace Project-Based Learning:. Use project-based approaches, allowing students to explore concepts deeply and apply their knowledge to practical tasks.
• Integrate Art into STEM:. The "A" for Art is a key differentiator from STEM education, adding creative expression and design thinking to the scientific and technical disciplines.

Requirements:

• Bachelors, preferred Masters's
• NYS Teaching Certification
• Background in teaching STEAM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.96 - $30.05 per hour

License/Certification:

• NYS Teaching Certification (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
