Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Steel Detailer to join our engineering and construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise steel fabrication drawings that support the successful execution of construction projects. Candidates should possess strong drafting skills, proficiency in CAD software, and a solid understanding of construction and structural principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate steel shop drawings, fabrication details, and assembly drawings based on project specifications and architectural plans.
• Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Advanced Steel.
• Interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings to ensure precise detailing aligned with project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, fabricators, and construction teams to resolve design issues and optimize detailing processes.
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for easy access and revision control.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Create Itemized takeoffs for estimating purposes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Steel Detailer or in a similar drafting role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Strong understanding of structural steel components, construction processes, and schematic drafting.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and comprehensive drawings.
• Knowledge of 2D animation is a plus for visual presentation purposes.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and schematics effectively.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant educational background in civil engineering, architecture, or drafting is preferred. Pay: $55,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
