Introduction:
Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is located in the heart of Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. With stunning views out to the impossibly blue waters of the Whitsundays, it is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the island.
The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.
Description:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and related areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans by hand and using dishwashing equipment
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and applicances are properly cleaned and sanitized
- Empty trash and recycling bins regularly to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
- Store cleaned equipment and utensils in designated storage areas
- Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures at all time
- Colloaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and a positive work environment
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the kitchen manager or supervisor
Skills and Experiences:
- Previous expereince in a similar role preferred
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Physcial stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Must be eligible to work in Australia
