Description:
The Stock Controller at M.J. Bale plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the inventory of the company. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure the smooth operation of the company's stock management system. Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the receiving, storing, and issuing of merchandise or materials.
- Keep track of stock levels to ensure efficient inventory control.
- Conduct regular stock audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies in stock levels or deliveries.
- Implement and maintain best practices for stock management procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in handling and storing stock.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and update stock records accordingly.
- Organize and store merchandise in designated areas, ensuring proper placement for easy retrieval.
- Prepare orders for delivery or pick up according to demand or schedule requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and generate reports on inventory status, including any shortages or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan future stock needs.

- Ability to use inventory management software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying discrepancies
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures
- Prior experience in stock control or inventory management roles
- Demonstrated ability to conduct regular stock counts and audits
- Experience with handling incoming and outgoing shipments
- Familiarity with compliance requirements related to stock control
- Experience in collaborating with procurement and warehouse teams
- Proven track record of maintaining accurate stock records and reports
