Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Store Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting sales growth. This position offers opportunities for professional development within a fast-paced retail environment, requiring strong organizational and communication skills, as well as leadership qualities. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail management or supervisory roles are highly valued.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, providing excellent customer service.
- Manage POS systems for transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately.
- Assist with merchandising tasks, including product placement, pricing, and inventory management.
- Support purchasing activities by tracking stock levels and coordinating with suppliers.
- Handle cash handling responsibilities with precision and integrity.
- Participate in recruiting, training, and developing new team members to ensure a high-performing team.
- Oversee store operations during shifts, supervising staff and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual standards to enhance customer experience.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote products and increase sales.
- Manage administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, and scheduling.
- Assist in budgeting efforts and sales management to meet store targets.
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent communication skills, phone etiquette, and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles within a retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems, merchandising tools, and basic math for pricing and bookkeeping tasks.
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, and team management preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling accurately and manage payroll processes.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail; time management skills are essential.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism.
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
