Core Roles and Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Track raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished products using digital or manual stock registers. Monitor consumable items like cutting tools, gases, and safety gear. [1, 2]
- Material Requisition & Purchasing: Create purchase orders for raw materials based on production schedules and inventory thresholds. Prevent stockouts or overstocking. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Receiving and Dispatch: Inspect incoming shipments for quality and quantity against purchase orders. Coordinate the dispatch of finished goods to clients or distribution centers with proper documentation (e.g., challans, bills). [1, 2]
- Outsourced Job Work Tracking: Maintain accurate ledgers for raw materials or parts sent out to third-party vendors for specialized processing or fabrication. [1]
- Stock Audits and Verification: Conduct regular physical stock counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and manage slow-moving, obsolete, or expired items. [1, 2]
- Warehouse Safety and Compliance: Enforce workplace safety protocols, proper material-handling equipment usage, and fire safety codes within the storage facility. [1, 2]
- Team and Vendor Coordination: Supervise storekeeping staff, schedule shifts, evaluate performance, and liaise closely with production planners, plant managers, and transport vendors. [1, 2, 3]
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
