About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our team at Daybreak Graiguecullen. As part of Ireland’s fastest-growing convenience group, you will be the driving force behind the store’s success. You will take full ownership of the day-to-day operations, ensuring we deliver top-tier customer service, excellent fresh food standards, and strong commercial results.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record in grocery or convenience retail management.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Manage all aspects of store operations including stock control, waste management, and merchandising according to planograms.
- People Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team. Manage rosters, payroll budgets, and staff performance.
- Fresh Food & Deli: Oversee the Deli department to ensure premium quality, presentation, and strict adherence to HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Financial Performance: Drive sales and achieve KPIs related to margin, labor costs, and shrinkage.
- Customer Experience: Ensure the store remains a welcoming environment for the local community by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, legislative requirements, and brand standards.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Store Manager or Senior Assistant Manager role within the Irish grocery/convenience sector (e.g., Daybreak, Centra, SPAR, Londis).
- Food Safety: Strong working knowledge of HACCP is essential.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to analyze sales reports and implement strategies to increase profitability.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a diverse team.
- Flexibility: Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and early starts.
