Store Manager

Ten On Ten Indian Takeaways is a prominent takeaway restaurant offering delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. We are currently seeking an experienced Store Manager to join our team in Auckland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following key duties:

  • Oversee the efficient day-to-day operations of the takeaway restaurant, ensuring smooth service and high customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the recruitment, induction, and training of staff members in line with company standards, acting as a role model for the team.
  • Promote excellent customer service by ensuring all employees are focused on creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for customers.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and develop menus that reflect the restaurant's offerings and customer preferences.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and efficient operations.
  • Coordinate weekly stock ordering with the kitchen team to maintain an adequate supply of ingredients and materials.
  • Receive and check deliveries, ensuring orders match and handling daily banking procedures.
  • Perform inventory management and stock control, including regular stock takes to ensure proper stock levels.
  • Analyze weekly sales and inventory reports, identifying areas for improvement and enhancing overall business performance.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Address customer complaints that are escalated, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Deliver high-quality service when dealing with customer inquiries, special requests, and ensuring customer needs are met.
  • Manage budgeting and financial transactions, ensuring cost-effective operations and meeting financial targets.
  • Plan and prepare for special functions or events, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
  • Assist with order-taking and provide support to staff when necessary during peak times.
  • Gather and act on customer feedback, ensuring continuous improvement in service and offerings.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $29 to $34 per hour.

Other requirements for the role:

  • Minimum 12 months of relevant work experience
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification is highly preferable.
  • Available to work from Monday - Sunday.
  • Available to work late evening shifts.
  • Available to work on weekends.
  • Knowing Indian cuisine and culture is highly preferable.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Team worker and Interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.00 – $34.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekend availability
