Store Person

Authority:

  • To stop any operations within the company which are considered hazardous to health and environment.
  • To call meetings with the Operations Manager and or Supervisor to discuss Stores, Quality, Health and Safety issues.
  • Supervise the stores department, procedures and work assignments
  • Project Manage customer requirements ensuring that compliance to customer and industry specifications are met.
  • To submit purchase order requisitions for rental, spares and operational needs.
  • Assist with the management of the Elmar Far East – Perth. Quality Management System (stores).
  • To manage the day to day store operations of Elmar Far East Pty Ltd
  • The upkeep and controlling of stock and stock amounts in the store.
  • To organize / facilitate shipments and keep track of cargo whilst in transit.
  • Quoting and Sales of spare parts.

Job Duties / Responsibilities: The job duties vary. They may include;

  • Keep store running with a minimum inventory of stock whilst achieving maximum output.
  • Keep track of export / import of goods and rental equipment whilst minimizing PCE re-entry, cost and time into Australia.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and customers, providing information at request and fulfilling their requirements inside requested time scales.
  • Monitor the performance of suppliers and issue feedback as to the service we receive, also giving non-conformances to suppliers who we are encountering repeat problems with services.
  • Ensuring sales products from NOV Elmar Perth are of a high standard and quality.
  • To ensure all goods shipped from NOV Elmar Perth comply with safety regulations and local requirements; fumigation, Pressure Vessels to Australia Standard etc..
  • To be on call at times when the Operations Manager and the QA and Operations Supervisor are unavailable.
  • Receiving / moving / checking & storing incoming /delivery of goods
  • Packaging / labeling goods before delivery
  • Reporting & evaluation of stock discrepancies
  • Advising of order shortages to Operations Manager
  • Receipt & issue of purchased components / delivery orders and services into computerized stock system
  • To work in orderly manner ensuring store areas are kept clean & tidy and safe from hazards
  • Participate in all appropriate stock taking
  • Will be required to operate forklift & basic warehousing equipment
  • Review and respond to all customer complaints and report these to the Operations Manager.
  • Understanding of customer, local and international regulations and responsibility for ensuring that these are coordinated, reviewed and updated where necessary.
  • To co-ordinate all shipping and logistics for Elmar and customer supplied equipment where necessary.
  • Responsible for the general upkeep of the store department with authority to propose changes as required by the Operations Manager
  • To carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Control Procedures / departmental works instructions

Quality Assurance:

  • To produce goods to a high standard of quality and in accordance with the relevant quality assurance procedures/departmental works instructions.
  • To ensure that the goods being produced are right first time and fit for the purpose intended prior to passing to the QC Department for inspection.
  • To assist with maintaining QC inspection equipment and manage their calibration status.
  • To recommend new ideas for improving the quality of products and services.
  • To ensure that ‘best practice’ is implemented as far as records, documentation, storage, retrieval, archiving, presentation and back-up are concerned.
  • Actively complete continuous improvement cards

Training:

  • To actively participate in training procedures to achieve the highest quality the employee is capable of.
  • To actively train workshop individuals who have been assigned to the store.

HS&E:

  • Take reasonable care of their safety.
  • Consider the safety of others who may be affected by your acts or emissions.
  • Work in accordance with information, training & instruction provided.
  • Refrain from intentionally misusing or recklessly interfering with anything that has been provided for health, safety and environmental reasons.
  • Report any hazardous defects in plant and equipment, or shortcomings in the existing safety controls, to operations manager without delay.
  • Not undertake any task for which authorization and/or training has not been given.
  • Report all accidents, incidents and hazardous situations to HSE & Operations Manager.
  • Stop work immediately if you have any safety concerns over the task.
  • Actively complete continuous improvement cards
