Due to ongoing expansion Metaltech Engineering in Sixmilebridge, Co Clare are looking for a stores / purchasing manager to join our team. This role is permanent and full time. The successful candidate will work closely with production and engineering to improve the efficiency of the production floor.

Qualifications & Experience

- Min 3 years experience in inventory mangement and procurement in a manufacturing environment

- Experience of implementing and running a stock control system an advantage

- Previous experience working in steel fabrication / sheet metal sectors an advantage

Overview of Responsibilities

- Review Bills of Materials, manage inventory levels, and update BOM's as required

- Manage supplier accounts to ensure reliability of supply, quality of goods and pricing is as required

- Create purchase orders and work with production to ensure goods can be delivered accoring to the company production schedule

- Receiving, checking and approving all goods that arrive to the factory

- Distribute materials received to the correct location in the factory and working with production to optimise factory floor layout

- Contact the relevant supplier on receipt of defective material and arranging refund, credit etc as required

- Set reorder levels for goods that need to be kept in stock, monitoring levels and creating and sending purchase orders to ensure we do not run out of items required

- Allocate received material to work orders, label and issue to production as required

- Control and organise storage areas to ensure materials are easy to find and stock levels are accurate and arrange periodic inventory checks as required

- Arrange storage, transport and despatch of completed orders ensuring costs are kept to a minimum and excess floorspace is not taken up by goods awaiting despatch

- Ensure all documentation regarding incoming and outgoing goods are signed and delivered to the financial controller so payments can be approved and invoices sent

- Ensure adherance to company ISO & EN1090 factory production control systems

Salary in line with candidate experience

Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
