Straight Truck Driver

Overview

• Operate a straight truck for timely and safe deliveries
• Local deliveries
• Handle temperature-controlled freight
• Work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment

Work Details

• Licence: DZ / AZ (straight truck experience required)
• Shift: Monday to Friday (weekend availability required)
• Start Time: 6:00 AM
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of straight truck driving experience in Canada
• Preferred: Experience with temperature-controlled freight
• Requirement: Clean driving abstract

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles as per business needs
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
• Ensure timely deliveries through effective route planning
• Load and unload freight (manual handling / pallet jack)
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team
• Assist with warehouse duties as required

Requirements

• Ability to operate manual (standard) transmission trucks
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and accountability
• Professional conduct at delivery sites and on the road
• Physically capable of handling freight and extended standing
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Experience with heavy equipment is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
