Job Description
As The Strategic Account Manager, you will manage the leadership of an industry end-user partnership. This partnership will result in sustained, demanding sales and market share growth for assigned products, contract agreements, and solutions and services.
You will develop and follow sales strategies and plans to achieve annual goals. You will manage the day-to day sales within the assigned account, including accountability for completing commercial programs, while working with extended resources. You will be responsible for a customer with multiple sites, ranging in account size, and for managing through extended sales resources to improve sustainable growth.
You will focus on the Discrete industry. Knowledge of selling in this industry is an important requirement. We require an understanding of processes (such as specification development, bid process, coordinating important partners, and services) that we use within the transportation industry. We desire an understanding of the digital transformation and smart connected operations including the digital thread, analytics, and manufacturing execution systems.
Your Responsibilities:
- You will indirectly lead a team of resources and accomplish a disciplined sales process to ensure opportunities exist to achieve or exceed annual sales goals.
- You will develop strategies and plans toward long-term customer relationships/advocacy and use resources to the highest priorities to create demand.
- You will promote the annual value stream of the strategic partnership between the customer and Rockwell Automation ecosystem; to both the customer and Rockwell leadership.
- You will communicate digital transformation outcomes as it applies to discrete industries and lead innovation within the strategic account.
- Develop important executive relationships for long-term success.
- Coordinate cross-territory/region/country pursuits with appropriate sales teams and partners for account sites.
- Analyze industry macro-trends and provide ongoing market intelligence, monthly sales activity reports, forecasting, and ad-hoc feedback.
- Document the competitive landscape by geography, customer type and segment with a pursuit strategy to develop and defend our position.
- Communicate with the Sales management team and corporate management regarding dynamics, performance, and sales opportunities.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree,
- Legal authorization to work in EMEA.
- Italian Native with full working proficiency level of English.
- Experience working in or with discrete manufacturing companies (Automotive/Tire).
- Minimum of 10 years of strategy and/or consulting experience.
- Experience working and with important partners up to and including the C- Suite.
- Background in leadership in an intentional company with a matrix environment.
- Experience leading by influence cross-country and -functional teams to develop winning strategies and solutions.
- Experience delivering and exceeding goals.
- Sell at the senior management and executive levels, and explain the value of Rockwell Automation's products, solutions & services in a manner which demonstrate tangible economic value

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Ability to travel (France + EMEA) about 20-30% of time. Expected to visit customers to understand the voice of the customer
- Global / EMEA sales experience.
