Student Assistant, Global Legal

Join us if you want to work in a Danish based, international pharmaceutical company and become part of a passionate team dedicated to supporting Lundbeck’s purpose of ‘Advancing Brain Health. Transforming Lives

Your new role

We are looking to hire a student assistant to support our legal teams in Global Legal and Compliance (“GLC”).

You will primarily support our Clinical R&D legal team with a large variety of tasks, such as contract review and drafting, updating standard agreements, data privacy matters and process optimization and implementation. In addition, you will be handling practical and administrative tasks such as creating new cases in our filing system, onboarding new colleagues as well as archiving contracts. As part of your job, you will be responsible for your own portfolio of cases with expert guidance from your colleagues throughout the process.

We are flexible about your working hours with respect to lectures, exams, holidays, etc., and we expect corresponding flexibility from you. The working hours will average 15-20 hours per week, typically split over 2 – 3 days a week. We hope to find a candidate that can commence employment in February 2026.

Your future team

GLC is based at our corporate headquarters in Valby, Denmark, and we have affiliated legal and compliance colleagues and functions around the globe. GLC currently consists of 41 dedicated employees.

Our new student assistant in Clinical R&D Legal will be part of a team of 5 great colleagues. The team primarily provides legal support to the Research & Development departments in connection with Lundbeck’s conduct of clinical trials, as well as its research-related partnerships and collaborations. As a student you will support the team on a wide range of tasks, including legal research, contracting, case handling, digitalization and efficiency initiatives and archiving. In addition, you will also be supporting Lundbeck’s Group Data Protection Officer with various tasks relating to e.g., awareness campaigns and compliance monitoring.

Although primarily part of the Clinical R&D Legal team, you will also have the opportunity to assist the Board Secretariat and the Commercial Legal and Trademarks team with various tasks. These teams provide support within the corporate and commercial area, including commercial contracts, digitalization initiatives and sanctions and export control regulations.

You will report to Head of Clinical R&D Legal, Line Freilev. Further, we will appoint a mentor to support your development and be your daily contact.

In GLC, we have a lively and friendly atmosphere, and we try to meet for social events and team meetings as often as possible. Finally, we understand and respect that people have a life outside work. Free time is valuable and working hours are flexible to accommodate that.

What you bring to the team

Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:

  • you are a law student (LL.B. or BSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law) and have completed at least 1 year of your studies.
  • as a person, you are curious, eager to learn, and to seek out new tasks.
  • you want to improve your legal qualifications but are also willing to perform more practical and administrative work.
  • you work independently, responsibly, and efficiently while maintaining a high degree of thoroughness and quality in your work.
  • a global mindset and fluency in English.

Our promise to you

Lundbeck offers an inspiring workplace and innovative culture, where our curiosity, accountability and adaptability enable us to transform lives. We want to go faster and further on addressing the big unmet needs of people living with brain disorders.
