We at the Faculty of Business and Social Science, the department of Educational Communication, are looking for a motivated and engaged student assistant who is passionate about international relations, intercultural communication, and promoting SDU as an attractive study destination. You enjoy taking responsibility, thinking critically, and working in an international and culturally diverse environment.

Are you particularly interested in working at the intersection of intercultural communication, international relations, and data‑driven tasks? And do you enjoy combining analytical thinking with practical communication and outreach activities? Then this position may be a great fit for you!

Your Role:

As our new student assistant, you will have responsibility and the opportunity to develop both your professional and personal profile. You are expected to work approximately 10 hours per week , with flexibility during exam periods. Your responsibilities will include work within the following areas:

  • Event management, including occasional travel to international study fairs
  • Field research and organizing of outreach activities
  • Text production and oral/written presentations
  • Intercultural communication especially during events
  • Data analysis of international student leads to improve and optimize the student touchpoint journey though MS PowerApp
  • Critical thinking and analytical support in relation to international recruitment activities

Who you are:

  • You are currently enrolled at SDU in a study program related to Marketing, Communications, or Business.
  • You value cultural openness and can navigate diverse environments with sensitivity and respect
  • You have strong communication skills, both one‑on‑one and in front of larger audiences
  • You are comfortable with public speaking and enjoy engaging in conversations
  • You are comfortable speaking up, sharing ideas, and contributing with constructive input
  • You have experience collaborating with different stakeholders
  • You are comfortable with the Microsoft 365 tools - experience with PowerApp and PowerBI are also beneficial
  • You are proactive, self‑driven, and able to work independently
  • You work in a structured and detail‑oriented manner
  • You have strong English skills, which are essential for the position

Please note, the selected candidate as Student Assistant or Academic Supervisor must be enrolled as student at SDU.

Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and SUL (National Union for Student Teachers in Government Service).

In case you have not yet had an examination at SDU, the enrollment confirmation instead of the exam transcript must be annexed your application.
