Here’s what the job entails

As our new student worker, you will support the German Origination team, focusing on customers (developers and owners of renewables and flexible assets) in the German energy market, with a wide range of commercial tasks. A key part of the role is also to engage with stakeholders, manage and build relations with existing and new customers, and navigate collaboration across the entire organisation.

More specifically, your responsibilities include:

  • supporting the identification and execution of profitable business growth opportunities, and helping define key customer segments in Germany

  • contributing to marketing and development of products and services in Germany (route to market, PPA’s, cPPA’s, consumption, certificates) – your vocabulary will be extended, and we’ll teach you

  • handling contract management including drafting contracts and preparing tender and sales material – especially during the exiting annual deal season

  • preparing pitch material, executing on customer value propositions and analysing customer segmentation

  • contributing to planning, execution and participation in commercial events, conferences and fairs

Meet your team

You will join our European Origination team, dedicated to optimising Danske Commodities’ customer-related activities in Europe. The team collaborates closely with our German customer value chain to grow our customer business by representing Danske Commodities by being DC’s face to the market promoting our product offerings, managing tender processes and driving business development.

We share a deep understanding of energy markets and what our customers need. We keep an informal tone, and we believe teamwork is key to success. As a diverse team of market specialists across various European offices, nationalities and backgrounds, we bring together different perspectives to create real impact.

As you will be working in a high-paced sales environment with various tasks, we imagine that you bring a holistic and structured approach to your work and naturally consider different perspectives in your analysis. We also expect that you enjoy working with people and is motivated by dialogues, relationship building, and reaching commercial targets through collaboration.

We also imagine that you:

  • are enrolled in a relevant education within Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Energy Economics or similar

  • are interested in energy markets and eager to learn more

  • have a proactive, commercial mindset and feel comfortable in stakeholder dialogues

  • can work approximately 15-20 hours a week from our Aarhus office

  • are proficient in German and English – both written and spoken

Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
