Rigby Leigh is a fine jewelry studio specializing in handmade engagement rings and custom work, crafted entirely in-house. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of a small, focused team. Essentially the role is about communication, content capture, long term project execution and organizational management.
This role is direct and performance-driven, but we also value warmth: our customers are often making once-in-a-lifetime purchases, and how we communicate matters.
This position begins as a 3-month contract (paid position) as a mutual trial period. At the end of 90 days, the role transitions to a permanent full-time position for the right candidate.
The Role:
You will take ownership of daily studio operations across customer communication, content capture coordination, long-term project completion, and in-store client experience.
This is not a passive support role. Your tasks will be yours to take ownership of.
Core Responsibilities:
1) Customer Communication & Sales Process (Primary Daily Focus)
- Manage inbound customer emails (custom design, stone selection, pricing, timelines)
- Guide customers through decisions clearly, calmly, and confidently
- Select, photograph, and send gemstone options
- Prepare pricing details and keep accurate records
- Track conversations and follow up consistently
- Support and conduct in-person sales in the storefront
2) Content Capture & Social Media Coordination
- Plan what needs to be captured each day/week
- Prompt and schedule content capture in the studio (“We need to film this today”)
- Capture photos + short-form video (iPhone-level is fine)
- Organize and deliver content to our Social Media Manager
- Communicate clearly about content needs and timelines
3) Long-Term Project Ownership
- Take operational projects from start to completion without constant oversight Example: cataloguing and listing all gemstones on the new site (photos, measurements, descriptions, uploading, consistency)
4) Storefront Presence & Client Experience
- Greet customers, answer questions, and guide in-person conversations
- Speak confidently about the work, materials, and design process
- Represent the brand with professionalism and warmth

Jewelry experience is not required. Reliability and execution are.
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days:
By the end of 90 days, you should be able to:
- Own the inbox: respond in Rigby Leigh’s voice, keep conversations organized, and follow up without reminders
- Run the daily rhythm: manage priorities, keep tasks moving, and keep the studio on track
- Deliver consistent content flow: ensure content is captured and sent to the Social Media Manager on schedule
- Handle storefront interactions: confidently greet and assist customers in person
- Complete at least one meaningful project end-to-end (example: a structured gemstone cataloguing workflow or a first batch of site listings)
We’ll define the exact 90-day targets together during onboarding so expectations are clear.
Compensation
- Salary: $50,000+ starting, depending on experience
Structure: 3-month contract → permanent full-time role (mutual fit)
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
