Your key responsibilities

The Mechanical Equipment Department of Tractebel is in charge of the following tasks :
• Expertise in mechanical components and related Codes & Standards
• Procurement and qualification of mechanical Equipment and Nuclear Fuel
• Quality Surveillance and manufacturing follow‑up
• Management of repair and replacement activities
• In service Inspection and Ageing Management
• Fuel Quality Control and Handling
• Seism & Structural integrity

As a member of the Mechanical North France Team in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, you will have the opportunity to be involved with one of our client. The team is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to operate as a Lead (“Pilote de Plateau”) within our client’s engineering platform.
The mission involves the technical instruction, coordination, and monitoring of document surveillance activities related to the manufacturing and operation of mechanical equipment—such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and other safety-class components.
This role combines technical expertise, project coordination, and quality/schedule steering, ensuring that all deliverables meet the client’s functional, regulatory, and qualification requirements. For this position, it is essential to demonstrate strong rigor in project management activities, along with excellent communication and coordination skills.

The Mechanical Engineer / Lead is responsible for analyzing and validating technical documentation, evaluating the impact of modifications on functional requirements, qualification, and regulatory compliance, and reviewing manufacturer documentation to ensure completeness. The role involves coordinating with various client stakeholders, operational units and suppliers, to clarify technical issues, contractual impacts, and exploitation constraints.
The engineer contributes to surveillance of manufacturing and qualification activities for safety-class mechanical equipment, providing technical positions when needed, while also acting as Plateau Lead to coordinate his and the other collaborator's activities:
- monitoring quality and schedule of deliverables,
- consolidating progress and KPIs,
- preparing reporting and advancement meetings.

The position ensures clear visibility of project advancement, structured communication with the client, and adherence to all technical, safety, and performance requirements.

We would love to hear from people with

- Basic education: Master's degree (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent
- Minimum years of experience: 5+ years in the nuclear sector / industrial sector with previous experience in project coordination
- Core skills: Mechanical Engineering, Project management
- Additional skills : strong communication, autonomous, pro-active, flexible, stress resistant, rigorous
- Core knowledge : Manufacturing Processes, INB decree, Mechanical pressure equipment
- Additional knowledge: Operation of nuclear power plants (CNPE), EDF processes, welding processes, etc.
- Software proficiency: Microsoft Office suite
- Standards : RCC-M, RSE-M, ASME, CODAP, CODETI,
- Sector experience: Nuclear, Mechanical, Energy
- Language / Level: French, English (B2+)
