SUB- Interventionist-Family and Community
Support children in the community to grow and learn skills specific to their development.
Provide trauma-informed services with a focus on pro-social skill building and emotional regulation. The broad spectrum of community-based services are designed to increase healthy functioning across settings and guide skill development to children and their caregivers. Services target the teaching/shaping of essential communication, social, adaptive, daily living and functional learning skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop activities and interventions for youth and their families.
- Provide 1:1 and/or group support according to the individual and/or family treatment goals
- Provide ongoing guided practice, modeling, prompting and reinforcement of pro-social skills
- Establish positive, therapeutic relationships and provide supportive counseling as needed
- Independently use Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) de-escalation training to maintain a safe environment and safely manage behavior
Requirements:
- Combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience in human services or a caretaking field, with emphasis on children with special needs
- A valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle
Structure:
- Non-Exempt
- Hourly rate starting at $20.73
- We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
