Exciting Opportunity: Activity Leader (English as a Second Language School – Summer 2026)

Are you energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about inspiring youth? Spend your summer exploring Toronto while guiding international students on a memorable learning adventure. Quest Language Studies, a leading English language school in downtown Toronto for over 25 years, is seeking Activity Leaders to join our team starting July 2026.

About the Role

As an Activity Leader, you will accompany and supervise international students (ages 13–17) as they discover Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. This role requires energy, enthusiasm, and strong leadership skills to ensure students have a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome students by providing an engaging orientation and campus tour on their first day.
  • Ensure student safety, welfare, and appropriate conduct by actively monitoring behavior and identifying concerns such as bullying, discrimination, or misconduct. Notify management immediately when necessary.
  • Supervise students during outings and activities, ensuring that curfews and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Lead assigned activities and excursions while encouraging full student participation.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and promptly report absences or disciplinary concerns.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings to stay informed and prepare for upcoming activities.
  • Work closely with Activity Coordinators and occasionally collaborate with agents and group leaders.
  • Assist with additional tasks related to student engagement and well-being as required.

Skills and Attributes

Essential

  • Experience working with teenagers in a camp, academic, or similar environment.
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, and cultural awareness.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and the ability to motivate young learners.

Desirable

  • CPR, First Aid, or Lifeguard certification (preferred but not required).
  • Experience leading activities such as sports, drama, dance, arts and crafts, or similar programs.

Additional Requirements

  • Availability for mandatory training and orientation during the week before the program start date (approximately two hours).
  • Willingness to work up to six days per week, including weekends, with scheduled participation in the social program.
  • Successful candidates are required to complete a criminal background check.

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 4 weeks

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week

Work Location: In person
