Summer Trainee, Operative Purchasing

W e are looking for a

Summer trainee, Operative Purchasing

to j oin Normet’s Operative Purchasing team in Iisalmi , on 4 th May – 28 th Aug 202 6 .

T he t eam is responsible for securing material availability in production , in accordance with the factory procurement schedule. The team is working closely with colleagues in sourcing , production and many other Normet’s teams.

In this position, you will participate in operative purchasing supply chain processes , ensuring efficiency and high delivery performance . You will be based in Iisalmi . Part of the work can be done remotely, but Iisalmi office will be your primary working location.

A person with a systematic approach, good IT skills (Power BI, Excel, SharePoint and office tools) and good communication skills (Finnish and English) will stand out in this job.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

• Controlling the material supply from order to delivery

• Monitoring supplier performance

To shine in this position, we hope you have:

• Minimum of one year of bachelor’s degree studies in Business, Engineering or other

relevant fields

• Work experience in purchasing or other supply chain functions is considered as an advantage

• Good communication skills in Finnish and English

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Proactive way of working and eagerness to learn

• Results-driven attitude
