We are looking for a
Summer Trainee
to join Normet’ s Operative Purchasing in Iisalmi, on 5th May – 31st August 2025. In this position, you will participate in operative purchasing supply chain process, ensuring efficiency and high delivery performances. Your daily routines include working in cooperation with your colleagues in operative purchasing team, production and other Normet’s teams.
You will be based in Iisalmi. Part of the work can be done remotely but Iisalmi office will be your primary working location. The duration of the work period is from early May to end of August 2025.
A person with a systematic approach, good IT skills (Power BI, Excel, SharePoint and office tools) and good communication skills (Finnish and English) will stand out in this job.
Main responsibilities and tasks:
- Controlling the material supply from order to delivery
- Monitoring supplier performance
- Handling and preventing non conformances
- Handling invoices
To shine in this position, we hope you have:
- Minimum of one year of bachelor’s degree studies in Business, Engineering or other relevant fields
- Work experience in purchasing or other supply chain functions is considered as an advantage
- Good communication skills in Finnish and English
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proactive way of working and eagerness to learn
- Results-driven attitude
