Introduction:
At Equip, we’re focused on helping our members prepare for, and enjoy financial freedom in retirement. As a profit‑to‑member industry superannuation fund, everything we do is guided by strong governance, long term thinking and high quality service. Headquartered in Melbourne, we’ve grown into a national fund serving diverse industries across Australia.
We are a supportive, purpose driven organisation with a member and people centred culture. We support genuine flexible and hybrid working, diverse opportunities for learning, development, and career growth and our people have access to a range of benefits and discounts spanning wellbeing, health, fitness, technology, entertainment and shopping.
Description:
An integral part of our Operations business unit, reporting to our Senior Operations Manager, as a Defined Benefit Specialist at Equip you will:
Analyse large and complex member data sets to identify anomalies, trends and risks
Undertake complex data investigations and incident remediation work related to defined benefit plans
Work closely with our third party administrator, internal operations teams, and a broad range of stakeholders across the fund
Manage day to day operational issues
Maintain and improve business rules, procedures and data quality controls
Support audits, assurance activity, and legislative or system changes
Contribute to projects and upcoming administration or data transitions
If you enjoy working with complex data, solving challenging problems, and seeing your analysis directly improve outcomes for members, this role will suit you.
Skills and Experiences:
To be successful in this role and business you will possess strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, high attention to detail and sound judgement, and comfort working in a hands on, fast moving, data driven environment.
While Defined Benefits experience is certainly advantageous, we are also keen to consider candidates with advanced Excel skills and the demonstrated ability to interpret and report on complex data within a superannuation administration or operations setting.
Additionally, exposure to large scale data analysis (e.g. SQL, BI tools or programmatic analysis), incident management, remediation or risk analysis, or exposure to investment data or data transitions will also be beneficial to this role.
Not sure you meet every requirement? We encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and potential.
Our Commitment to Inclusion: Equip Super is committed to creating an inclusive, safe, and equitable workplace. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences including First Nations peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTQIA+ people, people with disability, and those returning to the workforce. If you require adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process, we’re here to support you.
How to Apply: Please apply with your CV. No need to include a cover letter unless you’d like to provide more context to your application.
Recruitment agencies play an important role in our overall talent strategy; however, this vacancy is being managed by our internal team. Please note that we are unable to accept unsolicited or floated CVs or profiles.
