Supervise daily line station operations, ensuring the effective inspection and repair on aircraft. Responsible for guaranteeing 100% seat functionality on all overnight aircraft before departure which is a core commitment of Panasonic Avionics Maintenance Services. To achieve this, the Supervisor will manage the scheduling, staffing, and task allocation of site personnel, playing a vital role in the success of the maintenance operation. This hands-on leadership position is essential to maintain operational excellence, minimize aircraft downtime, and upholding PACSS’s high standards of safety and service reliability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintenance Operations;
- Schedule site personnel to weekly shift patterns pursuant to the customer’s flight schedule.
- Direct Inventory Control and local logistics of customer and Panasonic Avionics-owned capital assets.
- Schedule preventive maintenance activities of systems installed on customer aircraft during overnight holds; Office management of local site-specific responsibilities, which include local port Authority personnel identification administration, U.S. Customs clearance and security seals, overtime, vehicle maintenance, office administration, and cleanliness.
- External contacts include routine daily customer contacts at the Line Maintenance levels, local airport authorities, including U.S. Customs, Air Freight forwarders, and brokers for local logistics
- Internal contacts include MMS Bothell Personnel MMS Administration Staff, HR, and other Panasonic Avionics departments as required to execute the MMS agreements specific to the site.
- May also perform onboard maintenance activities and fill in for absent employees.
- Active involvement in Line and Hangar Operations.
- Stand in for Operations Manager during absence.
- Perform Operational Audits to improve the team's level of competency and credibility.
- Facilitate on-the-ground issue resolution and guidance.
- Attend the Daily Productivity Input Meeting (PIM).
- Follow-up with team on action items and operations updates.
Supervisory;
- Hire, train, supervise, and appraise direct reports.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least a Diploma or Higher Nitec/ Degree in Engineering/ Electronics Technology/ Aerospace Technology or equivalent.
- 3-5 years lead/crew chief/ supervisory experience.
- Background in Aircraft Line Maintenance with the CAAS certifications.
- FAA A&P, CAAS B2, UK CAA B2, EASA B2 or other internationally recognized license is required.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook (MS products).
- Good communication skills.
- Good knowledge of eX System and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to solve problems as they occur on the local level, not allowing the issue to progress further.
- Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
- Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
- Works on issues where analysis of the situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Travel up to 20% of the time to both domestic and international locations.
- Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.
- Manual dexterity to grasp and work with tool parts and equipment may be required.
- Ability to climb and work from ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending, or twisting for extended periods, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required.

- Technical Mastery : Possesses strong technical acumen in aircraft line maintenance with a sound understanding of IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) systems. Holds valid and recognized certifications (e.g., FAA A&P, CAAS B2, EASA B2), ensuring credibility and technical oversight.
- Crisis & Problem Solver: Responds swiftly and effectively to on-site technical issues or unexpected challenges, utilizing practical judgment and innovative thinking to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Organizational Agility: Highly organized and adept in managing manpower deployment, preventive maintenance schedules, inventory control, and local logistics. Able to juggle multiple administrative and technical responsibilities seamlessly.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Comfortable liaising with both internal departments and external agencies (airport authorities, customs, logistics providers) with professionalism and clarity. Builds cooperative relationships across functions.
- Adaptability & Stamina: Demonstrates resilience in high-pressure environments. Willing and able to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and perform hands-on maintenance if needed.
- Compliance Champion: Upholds regulatory and safety standards across all processes, including customs procedures, site access security, and maintenance records. Promotes a safety-first culture.
- Results-Oriented : Maintains focus on key performance indicators such as seat functionality, turnaround time, and team productivity. Continuously seeks ways to optimize operations and exceed expectations.
