Supplier Quality Engineer, Electrical

Serve is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to manage PCBA quality for the HW team as an individual contributor. Successful candidates will have a proven capability for technical program management, strong organizational skills and experience leading culture and change management. This role requires someone who has a strategic mindset with a deep understanding of hardware development processes and quality process control.

Responsibilities

• The SQE plays a pivotal role to oversee a variety of projects, interface with factories and manage technical and quality ensuring PCBAs/ cable harnesses received at the FATP location are within engineering specifications.

• Develop measurement technologies, control strategies, information systems, and manufacturing methods that achieve manufacturing control at mass production scale

• You will develop and implement quality inspection tools to evaluate cosmetic and dimensional part characteristics

• Compile and evaluate data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and part specifications

• Coordinate all Quality Engineering functions for a program, serving as project manager to lead efforts at supplier locations

• Evaluate and communicate yields of new and existing manufacturing processes

• Drive corrective actions multi-functionally with internal and external team members

• You will spearhead the coordination of process and quality implementation efforts, fostering collaboration across diverse teams to engineer optimal solutions

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or a combination of equivalent experience and education

• 5+ years of overall experience including:

• 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.

• 3+ years of working in a hardware quality role.

• Experience working with contract manufacturers.

• Experience in one or more of the following industries: automotive, medical, aerospace, robotics

• Strong verbal and written communications skills

• Have the ability to work independently and navigate ambiguous situations
