Supply Chain Co-Ordinator

Use the Master Production File to forecast requirements and ensure stock availability in line with production planning

Forecasting to ensure stock is on hand at the right time

Create purchase orders in Sage 50 and issue to suppliers. Complete the full purchasing process in Sage 50

Regular stock counts and full responsibility for inventory management.

Awareness of inventory with long lead times, forecasting and planning for these.

Communicate with suppliers and co-ordinate delivery schedules

Communicate with Store Manager and Finance to ensure most efficient use of products and stock required

Provide assistance to the Production Manager as required to ensure the line runs smoothly

Review pricing and transport costs for the Business as a whole

Provide assistance to Director as required

Initially candidate will be required to spend some time on the Factory floor in the capacity of stores _ warehousing. This is to ensure adequate understanding of part numbers, locations and the day to day workings, as purchaser will be required to work closely at all times with this function
