The Opportunity -

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) have several opportunities for Supply Chain Specialistto join the Maintenance and Logistics Support Services (MLSS) Program. Supply Chain Specialists at BDA have in-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of warehousing and distribution in support of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team. This will involve a range of activities such as receipt, dispatch and related warehousing and distribution support activities, Managing EO, Raising Local Purchase Orders, managing back shop throughput. Successful applicants will have knowledge of all aspects of material management, warehousing, booking freight, use of plant and manual handling equipment and using all associated inventory management systems. You will work in a small team of Supply Chain Specialists supporting Operational and Deeper Maintenance Activities. Your day will vary from day to day, due to operational requirements for the CH47F-Helicopter.

This role is based onsite at the Army Aviation Swartz Barracks, Oakey. This role also has the opportunity to be part of some exciting exercises away from home.

As a Supply Chain Specialistwithin BDA you will;

Manage inventory to ensure appropriate levels of accountability and traceability

  • Raising inventory requisitions for the request of inventory spares
  • .
  • Manage Goods Inwards
  • .
  • Responsible for Goods Receipt to ensure all items meet regulatory requirements
  • .
  • Manage non-conforming product
  • .
  • Be responsible for the segregation, documentation and management of the Quarantine store
  • .
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory in the Inventory management System (IMS) - accountable for cataloguing new inventory, tracking existing inventory, maintaining quality documentation and disposition of assets
  • .
  • Be responsible for Shelf Life management
  • .
Deliver against the Program strategic objectives
  • .
  • Deliver on commitments and plan to succeed
  • .

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in supply support roles and functions
  • .
  • Demonstrated experience with computerised inventory management systems and methodologies
  • .
  • Warehousing experience
  • .
  • A satisfactory level of physical fitness, required to perform certain levels of manual tasking
  • .
  • Forklift Operators license preferred but not essential
  • .
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • .
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements, and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance.
