The Opportunity
Supporting the Republic Singapore Air Force, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides maintenance and logistics support to the Chinook CH-47F platform.
BDA are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist who will join Maintenance Logistics Support Services (MLSS) team based at Swartz Barracks, Oakey. This position will assist in all facets of logistics support, inventory management, demand and issue inventory, repair and disposals, stocktaking and inventory control management. This role will involve working daily with a wide range of stakeholders including the customer to provide a high level of logistics support to ensure timely and positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct stock analysis, inventory and stock level assessments for program activities
- Managing orders and delivery schedules
- Stocktake counting and managing discrepancies
- Work with stakeholders across the program to deliver on supply chain strategies and deliverables
- Identify and resolve customer supply chain issues and discrepancies to resolution
- Be available to support away from home exercises and deployments
- Receipt, issue, storage, handling, packaging & shipping of inventory at the project
Experience/Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years logistics experience within an aerospace/aviation environment, defence experience will be highly regarded
- A sound understanding of project management methodologies
- Ability to work with a highly level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and negotiation skills to facilitate open interaction between customer support teams and key internal and external stakeholders
- Competent in the use of PC, MS Windows and MS Office suite
- Aircraft supply support services knowledge, skills and experience
- Baseline security clearance or ability to obtain
