Mō te tūnga | About the role
You will be supporting individuals with complex support needs to lead safe and meaningful lives in the community. The role of a Support Worker involves providing assistance to individuals in developing their independence and acquiring skills for daily living. This includes tasks like helping them with public transportation, employment, finances, and meal preparation. Depending on the specific work environment, Support Workers may also assist with individual needs such as shopping, cleaning, showering, and medication administration.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
- Previous support worker experience in the health and disability sector is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepovers
- Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
- Possession of a Full NZ driver's license.
