Summary

This front-line position provides direct support and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities to live their best life in either a residential or outreach setting. A driver's license and vehicle for work purposes is required.

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily living activities such as personal care and meal preparation
• Support people to access the community and activities, outings, and social events
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person’s needs and goals
• Promote independence by encouraging skill development and self-advocacy
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress
• Foster respectful relationships built on trust, empathy, and encouragement
• Collaborate with team members, families, and community partners to ensure holistic support

We Offer:

Experience

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse populations
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a dynamic environment
• Knowledge of community resources and support services is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.48 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
