Surgery Aide: Outpatient Surgery Center

Summary:

• Cleans designated areas and equipment within the Operating Room Department.
• Assists with inventory and transport of patients and beds within Surgical Services.
• Assists nursing staff with restocking supplies in OR suites; assists nursing staff with returning equipment upon completion of procedure.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
• Other duties as required.

• Experience in a medical patient care environment is preferred.
• Experience in central processing and housekeeping is preferred.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification: Heart Saver and AED is required within 90 days of hire.
• Years of relevant experience: 0 to 2 years is preferred.
• Years of experience supervising: None.
