As a Surveillance Analyst you'll play a key role in supporting the integrity of our securities markets, supervising trading activity, analyzing disclosures, and helping ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
You'll thrive in this role if you're diligent, curious, and motivated by meaningful work that contributes to fair and transparent markets. This is a fixed-term position (parental leave cover).
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor exchange trading systems to detect potential violations of securities laws and flag irregularities for review.
- Support investigations into potentially problematic activity in securities markets, contributing to a fair and well-functioning market environment.
- Analyze listed company disclosures for materiality and evaluate the need for temporary trading halts or escalation of potentially fraudulent filings.
- Assist with regulatory filings and withdrawals, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Research regulatory filings, market disclosures, and trading data, and provide findings and summaries to your supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, law, economics, business, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with securities markets, trading systems, or financial regulation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information and identify patterns or anomalies.
- Clear communicator with the ability to present findings in a structured and concise manner.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a regulatory, compliance, or market surveillance environment.
- Exposure to exchange operations or listed company monitoring.
- Familiarity with working in or alongside regulated financial institutions.
This position will be located in Helsinki and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
