We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Helper to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. This role is essential in supporting the dietary department and ensuring that all food preparation and service tasks are executed efficiently. Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of culinary staff.
• Support menu planning and ensure all dietary requirements are met.
• Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
• Participate in meal preparation, including cutting, chopping, and assembling ingredients.
• Provide assistance during catering events and ensure timely service of meals.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an organized workspace.
• Help with serving meals to guests and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
• Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous.
• Experience in food service or the restaurant industry is highly valued.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards is essential.
• Culinary experience, including knife skills and meal preparation, will be beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
