Introduction:
Star Aviation is Australia's most dedicated Ground Handling service provider, partnering with a number of Airlines and Airports. We pride ourselves on being big enough to manage, yet small enough to care!

At Star Aviation, we’re not just filling roles — we’re building a team of people who embody the spirit of our brand and take pride in representing both our company and our customers.

We’re proud to be big enough to manage – with the capability, experience, and professionalism to keep operations running smoothly at some of Australia’s busiest airports.

But we’re also small enough to care – which means you’ll be recognised, supported, and genuinely valued every step of the way.

If that sounds like the kind of team you want to be part of — we’d love to hear from you.

Description:
As a Duty Manager, you’ll be the key point of contact on shift—responsible for leading our operational teams, maintaining high levels of customer service, and ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of all Star Aviation services. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage team performance, service delivery, and daily operational challenges.

  • Address team performance issues and absenteeism through proactive leadership and support
  • Manage resource planning and arrange shift coverage in response to unplanned leave or surge requirements
  • Participate in airline meetings and provide operational updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Foster a safety-first culture by promoting awareness of WHS, aviation safety, and security requirements
  • Provide support to staff as needed, including stepping in to perform frontline services
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with airline clients and airport stakeholders
  • Monitor compliance reporting and follow up on any irregularities or non-conformance
  • Identify new service opportunities and contribute to business growth through quality service delivery
  • Ensure team conduct and service standards reflect Star Aviation’s values and brand expectations
Skills and Experiences:
What You'll Bring:
