Job Title: System Configurator Intern

Location: Varkaus Technology Park, Varkaus 78250

Role Type: 3 to 4 month internship, fully on site

Job Summary:

As a System Configurator Intern at Honeywell, in Varkaus, you will be responsible for completing shop floor activities related to Honeywell system configuration.

This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.

This internship is set up for 3 to 4 months, starting from early 2025, if you are currently studying, we will adjust your working hours to fit in with your university commitments.

Key responsibilities

The system configuration completes Shop floor activities related to the system configuration position. You will be fully trained within a supportive and nurturing team to be successful in your role. Activities include:

  • Receiving cabinets, PC’s/Servers, licenses and do goods receipt in SAP system
  • Incoming inspections (visible and qty)
  • Connecting internal cables, power up and configuration (Edit + Load) the system
  • Handing over to Honeywell project Operation for application design and load
  • Once Project operation has completed their task, on Project Manager command system shall be prepared for shipping
  • Backing up, virus scanning, disconnecting and packing equipment
  • Measuring Weight and Dimensions of packages and providing that information for export documentation purpose

Key skills and qualifications

  • A masters degree holder or studier in engineering or similar, having graduated from this in 2024 or still studying, (we would adjust the hours around your studies)
  • Working knowledge of standard MS Office tools
  • Business level written and verbal Finnish and the ability to effectively communicate in English
