System Control - Backup & System Administrator

Nostra is exponentially growing and we are expanding our System Control team! Nostra has offices in Dublin, Galway and Cork.
Responsibilities:
Manage backup and recovery software and methodologies.
Manage, monitor & remediate backup alerts.
Installation & configuration of backup technologies.
Implement RMM. (Software deployment, patch management, site onboarding, etc.).
Manage, monitor & remediate RMM alerts.
Working with Windows Server & Hyper-V environments.
Managing escalations between customers & vendors.
Provide high quality Service Support and Customer Service to our customers.
Provide solutions / work arounds to incidents and problems.
Ability to obtain correct information to escalate appropriately.
Maintain logs of all work performed and processed.
The above is not an exhaustive list and will include completing any other reasonable task requested by management within the scope of this position.
Occasional onsite work required for installing backup appliances or assisting with customer DR testing.
Technical Competencies:
Excellent Knowledge of Windows Server & Hyper-V environments.
Experience with Azure & Basic understanding of VMWare.
Veeam Backup and Replication experience is essential.
Experience with Datto SIRIS BCDR, Datto DEBDR, Datto DBMA, Datto SaaS Protection an advantage.
Experience with ASR, MABS an advantage.
Documenting a customer’s backup schema.
Understanding of RMM technologies and decent experience with at least one notable vendor.
Considerable experience with 2 or more of the following backup vendors: StorageCraft, Datto BCDR and N-Able.
Excellent understanding of backup technologies, types, DR, RPO, RTO, etc.
Basic Networking knowledge.
Understanding of NTFS permissions.
Understanding of Windows updates and patching policies.
Experience with a PSA, ticket logging, time keeping, escalation procedures, etc.
Experience with scripting & PowerShell an advantage.
Requirements:
5+ years system administration work experience.
Full clean driving license.
3rd level IT qualification or equivalent industry certification.
MS Server 2012, 2016, 2019 experience.
Good RMM experience, including patch management.
Excellent backup technology experience and exposure.
Veeam, Datto, & StorageCraft certifications a significant advantage.
Experience working for an MSP an advantage.
Flexibility required in terms of working hours and days to support business requirements. Out of hours work is required from time to time in the administration of key IT services.
