Mulrines is a name that has stood the test of time a proud local employer with deep roots in the community. We are now recruiting a Tank Farm Operator to join our team at our Ballybofey site.

The Role

The Tank Farm Operator will be responsible for the operation, monitoring and routine setup of the Pasteurisation Plant and Bucher Fruit Pressing Equipment, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Pasteurisation Plant and maintain appropriate records.
  • Operate Bucher Fruit Pressing Equipment and maintain appropriate records.
  • Complete CIP of equipment; handling of chemicals.
  • Inspect and perform daily checks on tank storage; maintain records.
  • Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain tank sterility.
  • Maintain open communications with colleagues.
  • Housekeeping activities and ensuring area is kept at an audit readiness standard.
  • Perform all work in conformance to Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
  • Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder

  • Ability to work under own initiative to deliver to deadlines
  • Forklift driving skills
  • Shunter driving skills

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday- 4.00pm to 12.00am

About The Role

The Tank Farm Operator will be responsible for the operation, monitoring and routine setup of the Pasteurisation Plant and Bucher Fruit Pressing Equipment, as well as supporting tank storage, cleaning, sampling and testing activities, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, quality standards and Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.

P Mulrine & Sons was established in 1919. Originally located just off Main Street Ballybofey with a workforce of 4 people, the company specialised in the production and distribution of soft drinks and bottled beer.

In 1971 P Mulrines & Sons Sales was established, and a new plant was opened on the Donegal Road which offered greater opportunities to the local people for employment with numbers increasing to around 80 people at the site

With the period of growth that followed our first Tetra Pak fillers were introduced in 1982.

An independent fourth generation family business the Company has grown steadily over the years. As a family business we are very proud of our local heritage and of the loyal workforce we have generated here in Ballybofey and the surrounding area, currently employing over 250 people across all sites.
