About the Role

We are hiring a Tax Preparer to support our federal, state, and local tax preparation workload across Individual, Business, Trust, and Non-Profit returns. This is a hands-on role for someone with solid technical grounding who wants to grow into a higher-responsibility position. All work will be reviewed by senior leadership until proficiency is demonstrated.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for Individuals, Businesses, Trusts, and Non-Profits.
• Gather, organize, and analyze financial information for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain current knowledge of tax laws, regulatory updates, and filing requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate filings across all return types.
• Maintain clean, well-documented workpapers and internal notes.
• Perform supporting tax calculations, reconciliations, and schedules in Excel.
• Work closely with leadership for review, feedback, and development.
• Assist with internal administrative tasks tied to tax preparation (no client-facing communication required).

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant tax preparation experience.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
• Competent in Excel (formulas, basic modeling, cleanup).
• Experience with UltraTax is a major plus.
• PTIN preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
