- Provide personal care support to students when needed, in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies and trauma-informed practices.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and the broader Warrah community.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the school’s warm, supportive learning environment.
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood/Primary) and current NESA accreditation.
- Experience supporting students with intellectual disabilities and special needs, preferably in primary settings.
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs, interests, and learning styles.
- Commitment to inclusive education and the rights of people with disabilities.
- Empathy, professionalism, and openness to creative and innovative teaching approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Valid NSW Driver’s Licence.
- Proficiency in IT and digital teaching tools.
- Knowledge of or willingness to engage with Rudolf Steiner’s Curative Education principles.
- Familiarity with NSW Board of Studies and Steiner Education curricula.
- Experience or interest in gardening/horticulture and outdoor education.
- Join a supportive and passionate team in a beautiful rural setting.
- Work within a unique Steiner-based special education environment.
- Generous not-for-profit salary packaging, including up to $15,900 + $2,650 meal & entertainment card.
- Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for well-being and confidential support.
