Teacher Assistant_ Early Intervention

Headstart For Life is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Early Intervention Teacher Assistants to join our team on a full time basis. The Early Intervention Teacher Assistant will work closely with certified EI Teachers to support students in achieving their academic and developmental goals. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist certified EI Teachers in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in the classroom setting, reinforcing concepts taught by the teacher
• Help students with disabilities with academic tasks, including reading, writing, math, and other subject areas, as outlined in their IEPs
• Assist students with daily living skills, mobility, and self-care tasks as needed
• Support students in developing social skills and fostering positive peer interactions
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications:

• Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Fresh grads are welcome to apply!
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
• Ability to follow directions and implement strategies outlined by certified Special Education Teachers

Pay: $1,900.00 - $2,400.00 per month
