A Sanskrit Teacher instructs students in the Sanskrit language, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, and classical literature. They develop curriculum-aligned lesson plans, conduct assessments, and foster an appreciation for ancient Indian heritage. The role requires strong linguistic skills and effective classroom management.

Core Responsibilities

• Instruction & Delivery: Teach Sanskrit grammar (Vyakarana), phonetics, and sentence structure in an engaging manner.
• Curriculum Planning: Create, collate, and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the school's educational framework (e.g., CBSE, ICSE, or State Board).
• Literature & Culture: Introduce students to classical texts, shlokas, epics, and scriptures, connecting language learning to historical and cultural contexts.
• Assessments: Develop question papers, worksheets, and revision material. Evaluate student progress through regular testing and constructive feedback.
• Classroom Management: Maintain an inclusive and disciplined learning environment, adapting teaching styles to accommodate varied learning abilities.
• Extracurriculars: Encourage student participation in language-based competitions, such as Sanskrit recitation, debates, and elocution.
• Collaboration: Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and continuous professional development programs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sanskrit is required. A B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching certification is generally preferred or mandated by many institutions.
• Linguistic Proficiency: Deep understanding of Sanskrit grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
• Pedagogical Skills: Strong communication, lesson-planning, and motivational abilities.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer knowledge to effectively use interactive, digital teaching tools in the classroom.
