Harmony Public Charter School is hiring for its initial year

We are now hiring all teachers and a principal for the 2026-2027 school year. HPCS is a new public charter school in Alberta which will initially offer a Kindergarten to Grade Six program. The school is funded by Alberta Education and has been approved for a full high school program in the years ahead. The school will open with approximately 125 students in north central Edmonton. The focus of the charter will be Africentric and will be infused in the Alberta Program of Studies on a daily basis.

Applicants for teaching positions and the principalship should possess the following:

Eligibility for an Alberta teaching certification;

A commitment to infuse the Africenter charter into program delivery;

Support for parental choice and charter schools;

An understanding of diversity and a student-centered approach;

A priority of working within a high performing team environment.

The salary for teachers and the principal will match the Alberta provincial grid. A competitive benefit package will be available.
