We are looking for a senior software engineering professional to be a Team Lead and Principal Engineer for the Prisma.fi Fulfillment team, which operates through multiple cross-functional squads. In this role, you lead engineering work through technical direction, hands-on collaboration and example, while also taking responsibility for people leadership as a defined part of the role.

Your primary focus is on guiding technical execution across squads and ensuring high-quality outcomes, while people leadership responsibilities complement the role and support the team’s long-term success.

About the job

As a Principal Engineer within the Prisma.fi Fulfillment team, you lead engineering work from inside the team while supporting multiple cross-functional squads. You are responsible for technical direction, solution quality and helping the squads succeed in complex problem-solving related to order fulfillment, logistics flows and customer delivery experience.

You work closely with Tech Leads, Designers and Business Developers, as well as developers, QA engineers and data & analytics professionals, to shape solutions, make sound technical decisions and ensure that the team’s work is sustainable, scalable and aligned with long-term goals. In this role, you enable day-to-day execution across squads by removing impediments, aligning engineering practices, supporting prioritization from a technical perspective and continuously improving delivery.

Part of your role is being a Team Lead for the Prisma.fi Fulfillment engineering team. This includes recruitment, onboarding, 1:1s, supporting professional growth and maintaining a healthy team environment in collaboration with other Team Leads and the broader competence organization.

What we are hoping from you
  • Strong experience in technical leadership or principal-level engineering
  • Previous people leadership experience such as leading a team or coaching others
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English

Tech background wise:
  • TypeScript / Node.js
  • AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, Step Functions)
  • Kafka
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Serverless), CI/CD, observability, testing.
  • Nice to have: Next.js or broader fullstack experience.
