We are recruiting a Team Leader for our Residential Services for 39 hours p/ week.

BEAM Services started with just 3 adults with special needs, but now provide a year-long day service to over 90 adults from Bagenalstown, South Carlow, North Kilkenny & Wexford. In BEAM Services we strongly believe that each individual’s needs are totally unique, so the task of providing educational support is highly staff intensive. BEAM Services has been providing housing for its members since 2006, giving them the opportunity to live independently, in a supported environment, and to maximise their role within the community.

Our Mission: is to encourage and assist adults with special needs to achieve social and personal fulfilment through involvement in a holistic programme.

The Team Leader (Residential Services) should be flexible in their approach to service provision & should have the ability to work as a member of a team. They will be required to take an active part in ensuring that the day to day running of the person’s home reflect the Vision and Mission Statement of the BEAM Services and that the needs of the residents are being met. The person appointed will be reporting to the PIC.

The Team Leader will be committed to delivering a high standard of service in line with the ethos and vision of Beam CLG. They will support the PIC in the planning, development, and delivery of services in the designated centre and work collaboratively with the PIC to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred services to residents. They will also support the PIC arranging the management of rosters to ensure the correct staffing levels and skill mix are in place in the designated centre.

The Team Leader will support the PIC ensuring that members files, Person Centred Plans, Medication Management, Risk Assessments and any necessary documentation to support the residents is kept current and up to date and will link in with the PIC for guidance and professional mentoring on all of the above listed duties as required.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

· A relevant Honours Degree in Social Care/ Social Care Work at QQI Level 8

· CORU Registered or in process of being registered.

· A relevant People Management Qualification at QQI Level 6 (or willingness to undertake same).

· Minimum 3 years’ experience working with and supporting adults with an intellectual disability in a residential setting.

· Experience of working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, as relevant to this role.

· Experience of working with persons with behaviours that challenge

· A sound knowledge and proven ability to interpret and apply legislation such as The National Standards for Adults with Disabilities

· Applicants must have excellent communication skills & time management skills and be highly motivated.

· Excellent record keeping skills are required.

· Full Clean Irish Driving Licence
