About the role:

Be responsible and accountable for coordinating and directing the program in accordance with current standards of practice and the OH key performance indicators. He/she leads the team in implementing customer focused services and managing human resources as well as system partnerships and planning. He/she may carry out a clinical assignment along with administrative activities. The incumbent role models professional and organizational core competencies. The Team lead will support the program with cultural competence of the black community to ensure inclusion and anit-oppressive approaches in a healthcare setting.

What you bring:

  • Minimum MA/M.Ed./MSW
  • Registration in good standing with the appropriate College
  • Minimum of three (3) years current clinical treatment experience and leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice; must be experienced in child and adolescent mental health, providing psychotherapy and crisis support within a culturally responsive lens.
  • Lived experience as a member of the Black African Caribbean Community
  • Valid Ontario “G” class driver’s license
  • Reliable vehicle insurance coverage
  • Demonstrated ability in interpersonal, communication, diplomacy, coaching, facilitation and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of hospital information systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant software applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote and manage change in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrated initiative.
