Showcase your positive and proactive attitude, exceptional communication skills and excellent leadership skills in building the capability of our judicial support staff. We are looking for a talented leader of people to come join our Judicial and Business Services team as Team Manager.
The Team Manager is responsible for leading a shared services team that provides administrative support and legal research to the Judiciary.
Your day-to-day work will be varied and busy as you,
- Lead your team of 12 staff consisting of Judges PA's and Judges Clerks that are located at the Hamilton, Rotorua, and Tauranga District Courts.
- Promote and maintain a team culture of high quality, and responsive customer service.
- Facilitate strong relationships between the judges, judicial officers and judicial support employees.
- Assist in the provision of business services to the District Courts in the Central region.
- Develop and enhance your coaching for performance skills.
- Contribute to and actively role model the Ministry's purpose, strategy, vision and values.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
Selection preference will be given to applicants that have,
- Experience in similar management roles.
- Demonstrated how you, as a leader, enabled people around you to be successful in their role.
- Excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate strong leadership and management behaviours, and have the personal confidence and resilience to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Confidently worked through change management opportunities and supported those around you to adapt.
- Full drivers' licence.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The remuneration for this role is $83,562 - $116,273.
The appointing salary for this role will likely be between $94,777 and $100,385 based on skills and experience.
