Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Burrito Master to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in food preparation, customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The Burrito Master will be responsible for crafting delicious burritos, managing food handling procedures, and ensuring efficient service during busy hours. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with strong time management and upselling abilities. This position is paid and perfect for individuals eager to grow within the food service industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients and assemble burritos according to company recipes and standards
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
• Manage cashier duties with accuracy and efficiency, including handling cash transactions
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist in food safety practices such as proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Ensure timely preparation of orders during peak hours to minimize wait times
• Support team members in kitchen operations as needed to ensure smooth service flow

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
• Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
• Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly attitude
• Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
• Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
