We're looking for hands-on, passionate & energetic Front of House members to join our growing company & experienced existing team.
Team Member – Front of House (Part-Time)
Roles: Part-time (35-40)
Pay: £11.5 per hour.
Reports To: Shift Supervisor
Availability Requirements:
- Weekend availability is a must.
- Must be available through the holiday season (with the exception of the dates our shop is shut, which are 24th, 25th and 26th December, as well as 31st December and 1st January).
Job Overview:
- Help to prepare delicious meals according to our recipes and menu
- Able to follow instructions in preparing, cooking and portioning well-prepared meals
- Deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Able to follow the prep list created by shift supervisor to plan duties
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as meat, sauces, toppings, etc
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly & no cross contamination exists.
- Comply with sanitation & hygiene guidelines
- Read food orders and portion, plate and bag food for in-house, take-away and Deliveroo sales.
- Engage with customers & ensure meals are to their satisfaction
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
- Escalate any HSE, staff or other issues to the manager where appropriate for resolution
Requirements:
- Able to follow set procedures and menus
- Proven experience as prep cook/front of house role
- Some knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen (HACCP, COSHH etc)
- Able to operate basic kitchen equipment & utensils
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
- A team player with good communication skills
- Confidence to engage with customers when waiting tables, preparing meals or over the phone.
- Availability to work different shifts, including weekends
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Very good physical condition and endurance
- Training from a culinary school/previous employer will be an asset
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
