Tech Support Specialist (Hr & People Team)

As a Tech Support Specialist, you will be part of the HR & People team, ensuring that employees have the technical equipment and support they need to work efficiently. This role is a combination of IT support and HR operational support, requiring both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.

We work exclusively in an Apple environment (MacBooks, iPhones, iPads), so familiarity with macOS and iOS is essential. You will be responsible for managing company equipment, assisting employees with their Apple devices, and maintaining an organized inventory through a dedicated Mobile Device Management (MDM) system.


Your Responsibilities


Equipment & Inventory Management
  • Maintain a clear and up-to-date inventory of company equipment (laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, etc.).
  • Receive new equipment, catalogue it properly, and ensure it is marked accordingly when returned.
  • Wipe and refurbish materials for reuse, ensuring security and compliance with data protection policies.
  • Set up and configure laptops for new and existing employees.
  • Assist teams with laptop data transfers during onboarding, offboarding, or device replacements.
  • Coordinate repairs and handle damaged equipment by liaising with MediaMarkt or other repair partners.

Employee Support & IT Administration
  • Provide technical support to employees (mostly remote teams), assisting with:
  • Login issues, software installations, email signatures, and system access problems.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues to ensure employees can work without disruption.
  • Managing company applications and software licenses through Jamf and other IT tools.
  • Work closely with HR to coordinate IT access for new hires and leavers.
  • Plan and forecast future supplier orders for IT equipment based on onboarding/offboarding projections.
  • Develop a training framework to help employees self-resolve common tech issues.
  • Handle complex hardware problems, escalating them appropriately when needed.

HR & People Team Integration
  • Recognize that employees are your internal clients—balancing responsiveness with setting clear expectations.
  • Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality, as you will have visibility into sensitive HR matters such as terminations, role changes, and internal discussions.
  • Manage multiple demands and priorities, sometimes in high-pressure situations, requiring adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in an Apple environment (macOS, iOS) and managing Apple devices using Jamf or similar MDM tools.
  • Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, or tech administration is a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support employees of all technical skill levels.
  • A high level of discretion and professionalism, particularly when handling sensitive HR-related information.
  • Comfortable balancing technical troubleshooting with HR-related support.
