Job Description
Come join our amazing team in Silverdale, Auckland.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Coordinator. In this role, you will coordinate the day-to-day organisation of assigned technical field staff, with a focus on customer satisfaction, project delivery and co-ordination of staff on site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, to an appropriate quality standard to achieve planned profit or better as per job bid targets.
The successful candidates will work on key responsibilities like:
- Plan and coordinate with Project Managers, Design staff, Customers, and the Technical team.
- Develop and implement cost-effective methods and procedures while meeting safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Schedule resources and manage technical project work with Project Managers.
- Coordinate and guide technical staff to maintain productivity and good industrial relations.
- Assist in scoping new contracts and delivering competitive bids.
- Support Project Managers with progress claims, scope change costs, and technical reporting.
- Assess project risks to prevent outages and equipment damage, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Help develop inspection and test plans, job packs, and commissioning documentation.
- Track costs for job-specific plant and equipment on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Ensure testing and commissioning of network equipment meet specifications.
- Ensure compliance with the Contract Agreement for both Omexom and the customer.
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered, you will have:
- A trade qualification in Distribution is essential.
- A live line qualification and/or tertiary qualification at polytechnic is preferred.
- Hands-on experience on distribution network installation and maintenance.
- A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements pertaining to the carrying out of all prescribed electrical work.
