Reports To: Chief Product Officer
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager who will bridge market needs and engineering execution across our hardware, firmware, and software offerings. The ideal candidate combines strategic product thinking with deep technical understanding and excels at translating customer and market requirements into actionable engineering plans. This role also incorporates Scrum Master responsibilities—helping teams plan, execute, and continuously improve through agile practices that ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and maintain a clear product roadmap aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure roadmap clarity, prioritization, and transparency.
Requirements Definition
- Gather and analyze customer, market, and stakeholder feedback to define product requirements across hardware (HW), firmware (FW), and software (SW).
- Author detailed, prioritized requirement documents that balance feasibility, impact, and time-to-market.
Agile Planning & Execution (Scrum Master Responsibilities)
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth execution and continuous improvement.
- Maintain transparency into sprint progress, risks, and blockers—supporting team productivity and accountability.
- Partner with Engineering leads to balance workloads, resolve impediments, and keep development aligned with priorities.
- Track project hygiene metrics (velocity, burndown, spend vs. completion) and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Go-To-Market (GTM) Readiness
- Drive readiness for product launches across HW, FW, and SW, ensuring on-time, coordinated delivery.
- Support Sales, Marketing, and Support teams with technical insights and launch materials.
Technical Understanding & Issue Resolution
- Maintain deep technical knowledge of the product stack—architecture, dependencies, and integrations.
- Lead triage and resolution of technical product issues to minimize downtime and customer impact.
- Own how our products work—architecture, integration points, dependencies, and configuration details.
- Serve as the Source of Truth for all technical product knowledge, ensuring consistent, accurate information across teams.
Compatibility & Integration Management
- Manage HW/FW/SW compatibility matrices to ensure seamless integration and no surprises at release.
- Coordinate with Engineering to validate interoperability and performance across configurations.
Documentation
- Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including API specs, integration guides, troubleshooting references, and internal release notes.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with Market Managers, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment and delivery.
- Own how the product works—its architecture, feasibility, and technical dependencies—serving as the go-to product expert across the organization.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in product management or technical program management.
- Proven experience defining software and firmware requirements based on market needs.
- Working knowledge of agile methodologies and hands-on experience facilitating Scrum or Kanban teams.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, embedded systems, and system integration.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Product Owner (CSPO), or equivalent agile certification.
- Experience working with cross-functional hardware, firmware, and software teams.
