Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or technical project management.
- Experience with IP transit/peering, dark fiber, colocation, optical transport, and cloud technologies and industry processes.
- Experience in telecommunications at carrier-class scale, with experience of optical networks, DWDM, IP and data services.
- Experience presenting to executive audiences to represent projects from business, product and technical perspectives.
- Experience defining system or process requirements, building, integrating, or delivering layer 1, layer 2 or layer 3 network systems.
- Experience in coding and frameworks with SQL, R, Go or Python.
- Experience with documentation coding frameworks such as Markdown, Graphviz, PlantUML.
- Ability to identify, breakdown, and solve processes and technical problems.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent program management skills with project delivery and problem-solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
You will collaborate with networking technical teams to intake, analyze and develop cost and executable plans for all networking requests. Drive input gathering and alignment across functional teams in GNT, GNS, GND, ELS, NOSCO and Network Finance. Provide technical guidance, detailed capacity, deployment schedules and cost analysis for each cloud request and formulate clean and precise business responses and network build plans.

Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional asset acquisition, asset design, vendor management and deployment teams to execution transparency to Cloud on the execution status and health of Cloud related network projects, become the single point of contact for all network planning and deployment related Cloud escalations.
- Partner with tech leads across the organization to define and improve business processes in order to increase accuracy and decrease cycle times for network expansion requests.
- Lead company wide network initiatives from concept to plan definition and to execution teams and able to refine projects to well defined problems, processes, and solutions. Work with various Architecture, Design, Planning, and Deployment teams by providing technical judgment while ensuring process development and execution.
- Present network plans, costs and timelines to leadership within GGN and Cloud to allow for transparency and approval in decision making.
